Membership Requirements

The right to membership, membership procedures and leaving the association under the statutes.

Right to Membership and Procedures (Statutes Article 3)

Every natural and legal person with legal capacity who adopts the aims and principles of the association, agrees to work accordingly and meets the conditions set by legislation has the right to become a member.

Where a legal entity is a member, membership is exercised by the chair of its board or by a person appointed to represent it. When that person’s role ends, membership is exercised by a person notified to the association in writing within thirty days.

Applications made in writing or online to the Chair, using a membership application form bearing the reference of an existing member, are decided by the Board within thirty days at most, by acceptance or rejection, and the result is notified to the applicant in writing or online. The Board is not required to give reasons for a rejection. Accepted members are entered in the membership register.

Full members are the founders and persons admitted by the Board upon application.

Persons who have provided significant material or moral support may be admitted as honorary members by Board decision.

Leaving the Association (Article 4)

Every member has the right to leave the association by notifying it in writing.

Leaving takes effect when the resignation reaches the Board. Leaving does not cancel the member’s accrued debts to the association.

Expulsion (Article 5)

  • Acting contrary to the statutes,
  • Persistently avoiding assigned duties,
  • Not paying membership dues within one year despite written warnings,
  • Not complying with decisions of the association’s bodies,
  • Losing the conditions for membership.

Where any of the above is established, the member may be expelled by Board decision. Members who leave or are expelled are removed from the register and may not claim rights over the association’s assets.
